Live Nativity

Last week we went up to Alpine for The Living Nativity.  It was really cold, but it was a fun experience.  The boys loved "traveling to Bethlehem."

The "Roman Guards" were walking around and they had orders to "kill all boys 2 and under."  Ty got scared and kept telling him, I'm three!  Then he'd take his little glove off and hold up three fingers, just to make sure he knew.

After we saw baby Jesus, Ethan said, "I am NOT going to tell King Herod where we found Him."

Catching Up: 2013

I have totally neglected this blog... but I'm starting back up.  Here are the highlights of 2013 for us.

Ethan had his 5th birthday party.
 Another gymnastics meet and metal

Derek built an awesome play set
We love this little cutie, Ty Alexander!
We went to CA and rode an elephant!
Melanie, Harvey & Dean came to live with us.  So we have 4 little boys now!

The boys got a new cousin, Deborah Anne, and they LOVE her!

Halloween: Jango Fett & Luke Skywalker

My sister Hannah is serving a mission for the LDS church in Malaga, Spain!

Ty turned 3 a few months ago.
The boys LOVE Santa!  Ty asked Santa for a pop gun this year.  As we're standing in line, I told Ethan, Santa may ask you if you've been a good boy this year.  Ethan thinks for a minute and says, "What should I say?"  Too funny.  He's been a great boy this year!

DISNEYLAND!

We got to spend the week at Disneyland and we all had a great time!  The first day we went to California Adventure with my dad.  Ethan LOVED Cars Land.  We got to walk through Radiator Springs and see all of the shops just like in the movie.  The only thing Ethan asked for was a post card from Lizzie's Shop.

It was so great to spend time with Grandpa!

Here is Disneyland on day #2 of our trip.  It was all decorated for Halloween.
Ty was so cute trying to get the sword out of the stone!
Here's Ethan working his muscles in Toon Town.

The third day, Derek and I took Ty back to Disneyland (lots more for the little ones to do) and Ethan went with Grandma to California Adventure.  They had a fun time just the two of them, and we had some great fun with Ty.

We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and got these great Mickey cookies one night.

Harvey LOVED seeing Mickey and all of the characters.
All of us waiting for a parade.
My boys jumping on the bed in the hotel.
Ethan and Ty love their baby cousin, Dean!  I was pleasantly surprised how interested and sweet they were to him.  He is so cute and a perfect little baby!

We went swimming at the Disneyland Hotel several times.  Of course Ty loved it!
Here is Grandma with all of her grandsons.  We had a great time all together!

Brigham City Temple

We went to the Brigham City Temple open house today.  It was a great experience and really beautiful.  Ethan was a bit confused and kept saying, "but kids don't go to the temple, just mommy and daddy." So we explained that the temple hasn't been dedicated yet, so we could all go.  Then he was confused again that he had to wear his church clothes on Tuesday.
Ty had a good time.  He really liked the booties for his feet and all of the pictures of Jesus.

I'm really glad we got to go and get the boys excited about the temple!

Fearless Boys

We went to the American Fork pool twice this week.  It is a really fun pool and we all had a great time. Ethan and Ty were so brave they went off the diving board!  They were too cute and loved it.  I love this video of Ty, he really has no fear, and this picture of Ethan is pretty great!

Camp Out

We took the boys camping this weekend up in Heber.  It was part of our ward camp out and we had a great time.  Both Ethan and Ty were running around non stop and had a blast in the great outdoors.  They loved having so many neighbor friends there to play with as well.

Besides going to bed late and waking up early, they both slept remarkable well.  I even snuck a picture of them sleeping.  They are too cute!

We also bought a new (to us) car this weekend.  It's a GMC Acadia.  Ethan was very excited that it has a "front, a middle and a back row!"  Yes, we upgraded to a 7 person car.  I know there are only 4 of us right now, but we still filled the car for our camp out!

July Catch Up

I realized I hadn't posted the whole month of July. Probably because I had Girl's Camp and I got a little busy with that. So here is an update.

Ty has started this new thing where he gets mad and wags his finger at me if I eat his food.  It's pretty funny, but not too surprising... he does love his food!

My mom came to visit (and help watch the boys while I was at Girl's Camp.)  Ethan and Ty love their Grandma so much!

Lehi had a foam day and we went and had a blast!  There were firemen spraying this foam all over an open field.  So fun!

Ethan started playing soccer.  He loves it and is actually pretty good!

Overall we've just been hanging out and enjoying summer.  Can't believe it's almost over :(
